
Kim A. Williams, AIA, has practiced architecture for over 35 years throughout Texas, the U.S., and internationally. His successful portfolio and body of work for scores of satisfied clients includes U.S. embassies, international landmark projects in the former Soviet Union, nationally prominent preservation landmark structures, distinctive new design facilities, and creative adaptive re-use of buildings from the refined to the mundane converted into stimulating and energy saving, sustainable architecture.
Clients and other professionals regularly recognize Kim’s work as professional, enthusiastic, and resourceful. The strong working relationships he develops from the initial design phases through to construction completion are characterized with mutual respect built on listening, responding, fiscal responsibility, and creative problem solving.
Kim graduated from the highly recognized Kansas State University – College of Architecture and Design, receiving a professional degree with cum laude honors, including membership in Tau Sigma Delta, the National Honor Society in Architecture and Allied Arts. He is a registered architect in the State of Texas and member of the American Institute of Architects. His professional and organizational service has included: appointment to the national AIA Historic Resources Committee leadership team; Preservation Texas, Inc. Board of Directors; member of the Association of Preservation Technology, International; officer of the Hyde Park Neighborhood Association, a prominent historic Austin neighborhood. He has volunteered for many international church mission operations involving building projects in the U.S., Mexico, and Eastern Europe. Kim and TWC Architects have been recognized with a wide variety of awards, publications, and citations for the quality of their projects and client relationships.
