TWC Architects is located in a corporate office complex. In 2004, the firm completed the first phase of a demonstration project with their own office. The concept is a working laboratory of space, design, and building material study. The firm is creatively working with industry manufacturers and tradesmen to study unique spatial design and material application. TWC Architects has long been a leader in seeking or creating custom building materials used in the restoration of historic buildings nationally and internationally. Over his 28-year career, Kim Williams, AIA has developed many special working relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and craftsmen who have provided many of the unique building materials utilized in TWC Architects projects. As our architectural firm planned the new office space in late 2003, our professional staff decided to experiment and demonstrate many of the materials and design concepts in our various spaces. Moreover, we wanted to demonstrate the variety of style, forms and motifs that could be reasonably integrated into a rather standard 1970s office complex. The successful project has offered our firm and office complex management, Aspen Properties, an intriguing expression of special interior workspaces using many standard, as well as craftsmen generated, materials.
Many of the materials manufacturers and suppliers have been very supportive of this architectural laboratory and test setting. We wish to recognize many of the parties who have generously and enthusiastically supported our endeavor, see them listed below...
