Kim Williams discovered this unique historic home in 1983 in a very deteriorated state. After evaluating the property for possible investment purposes, the family grew to truly appreciate its historic value and wonderful assets. Subsequently, the Williams family purchased the Dempsey House as their second inner city home. They secured Austin Historic Landmark status for the home and developed it as their home, architectural office and rental unit.
The structure was first constructed in 1914 and later expanded by the very accomplished mason and Austin City Councilman Jack Dempsey for which the historic status was awarded.
